How to solve the energy crisis and stay 'green' .

Rochdale Labour party 'hijack' Armed Forces veterans initiative to gain votes

Labour cares for our Armed Forces Veterans ?

If that was so, then the ongoing 'witch hunt' against elderly Ulster veterans would not be happening .

The so called 'Good Friday Agreement' which gave IRA murderers freedom from their jail sentences. But it also  gave IRA terrorists a free pardon - the so -called OTR letters (On The Run) were then distributed by IRA man Gerry Kelly in Belfast. Hundreds of IRA terrorists are walking about with pardons in their pocket.

But now elderly veterans are being dragged through the Courts in Northern Ireland.

Politicians like Tony Blair and Mo Mowlem amongst other Labour politicians knew that the army and Royal Ulster Constabulary would eventually be 'held out to dry'. They knew this and there is evidence of that fact.

Back to the above election leaflet for the local council in Rochdale.

All across the country, Veterans have regular 'breakfast clubs' that have recently spread across the nation and even abroad where veterans now live. It has become a focus of self help by and for our Armed Forces veterans.

Rochdale's Labour Council did/do NOT serve any 'breakfasts'. Discounted or otherwise.

How is Mr. Rana going to ensure better health care and shorter wait times locally for veterans ? Get housing for veterans ? We don't think so. Councillors and local councils do not have that power.

Rochdale Council does build 'special housing projects', but guess who the priority usually goes to ? Mr.Rana's ethnic group often receives special preference in that regard locally in Rochdale.

Rochdale Labour Party has nothing to do with the funding of the veterans breakfast club. The kitchen where the club meet in Rochdale Town Hall is also a private company.

The picture itself of Mr.Rana is not even in Rochdale.

This is another lie to deceive the electorate.

The picture is just Mr.Rana standing in front of a couple of veterans, possibly in the Trafford Centre in Manchester when the Poppy Appeal was in progress. Before Remembrance Sunday last year. Then taking a pic, and now using it for a deception to 'con' the electorate in the ward that he is standing for in Rochdale.

In local elections, a general leaflet is produced and just a few 'tweaks'  are changed such as the personal details of the candidate.

This deception by the Labour Party in Rochdale, has severely upset the veteran community in the Borough of Rochdale. The veterans have already made representations of complaint to them about this pack of lies.

Mr.Rana is standing for the Spotland & Falinge ward of Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Council .

Ex-soldiers to stand trial charged with murdering IRA man

Two ex-soldiers are to stand trial charged with murdering an Official IRA man in Belfast 46 years ago, a judge has ordered.
The former paratroopers, who cannot be identified, allegedly killed Joe McCann in Belfast back in April 1972.
A judge ruled that they have a case to answer following a preliminary inquiry at the city's Magistrates Court.
McCann, one of the Official IRA's most prominent activists, was shot in disputed circumstances near his home in the Market area.
A police investigation conducted at the time resulted in no-one being prosecuted. But in 2013 a report by the now-defunct Historical Enquiries Team concluded the killing was not justified.
Files were then passed to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS), who reviewed the case and decided in 2016 to bring murder charges.
The defendants, now aged in their sixties, are known only as Soldier A and Soldier C.
They were granted temporary anonymity at an early stage amid fears that identification could put their lives at risk.
According to the prosecution, Soldier A and Soldier C are surviving members of the army patrol involved in the shooting incident.
A third member of the unit has since died. Both defendants were present during last week's preliminary inquiry hearing, lawyers confirmed.
After examining evidence District Judge Fiona Bagnall decided they should be returned for Crown Court trial.
Arraignment proceedings are expected to take place next month. Outside court the McCann family's solicitor called for the trial to get underway without delay.
Rosie Kinnear of KRW Law said: "Since April 15, 1972, it has been the family's firm assertion that Joe was murdered.
"Nearly 46 years later, the decision of the court to return Soldier A and Soldier C for trial in the Crown Court on murder charges has vindicated that belief."
Ms Kinnear added: "The McCann family welcome this significant decision and are eager for the trial to take place as soon as possible."

NWN:   The 'witch hunt' against old soldiers continues . Bloody shameful.  But what all this is doing is 'radicalising' a large number of patriotic people . Serving and ex-military people. The UK was marked for destruction by the zionists in the 19th century and this is a part of the breaking up of the UK. By destroying it's revered institutions in this case the armed forces and blackening our name.

How the traitor Nick Griffin trashed the original NORTHWESTNATIONALISTS in 1999 and protected the peadophile Sir Cyril Smith from the public's ire while Smith was still alive .

This was right after the 'crook' Griffin hijacked the BNP, and was already 'trashing the party' and making himself a dictator to do that job on the BNP. A dictator whose vision and intellect was severely lacking, and coupled with his desire to lie and cheat and run the BNP into the ground. NWN saw the 'writing on the wall' way back then and so went independent. After being possibly the very first expulsion(s) from the BNP back then.

It was fairly widely known about Cyril Smith in 1999, but not known about to the general public. We were one of the first to break the silence of the sexual activities/antics of Cyril Smith, and we knew where the evidence was. We cited our sources which were and still are logged within the Local Studies section of Rochdale Metropolitan Borough Library system. But that wasn't good enough for Griffin !

He didn't want us to progress. He also stopped us opening a 'radio station' using the web, that we were given the 'green light' for from when John Tyndall was still the BNP leader. We were also going to use webcams to broadcast BNP major meetings onto the web back then. None of these groundbreaking ideas ever got off the ground, because Griffin would stop any progress of using the then new technologies . In 1999, we were the first political party to use a designated website in a Parliamentary by-election in Preston. We were breaking new ground and utilising these technologies before any other party. Another example of the way that Nick Griffin trashed the BNP.

A race hate crime - if not why not ?

This is the horrific moment thugs tried to kill a man at a Metrolink stop as tram passengers screamed in terror

Detectives say the yobs 'played to the audience' - the incident is being treated as attempted murder

CCTV cameras captured a sickening attack on an innocent man who was punched, kicked and stamped on more than 100 times as horrified tram passengers watched on.
The man was left for dead following the brutal assault by a gang of teenagers at the Freehold Metrolink stop in Oldham.
Detectives said the yobs ‘played to the audience’ after a tram stopped on the opposite side of the tracks .

tram2JPG.jpg
They walked off, only to return to continue the attack, three times.

The violence was described by Metrolink bosses as ‘indiscriminate and wanton’.
Police are treating the vicious attack, which left the 49-year-old badly injured, as attempted murder.

The three thugs - aged between 15 and 18-years-old - jumped the man at the Chadderton stop at around 9.30pm on March 8.
They continued to attack him as he lay unconscious on the floor in a pool of blood.
Metrolink cameras captured the horrific assault.

Graphic footage shows the thugs attacking the man. At one point, one teenager can be seen dragging the man by the leg across the floor before stamping on him.
Some of the video had to be cut as it was so distressing.
Police say the man was hit, punched and stamped on more than 100 times.
The victim was left with a bleed on the brain - and a fractured cheek, nose and ribs. Doctors thought he would lose an eye, but it has been saved.
GMP said the thugs ‘played to the audience’ and continued beating the defenceless man while he was unconscious.

It wasn’t until tram passengers pulled the emergency cord to open the doors that the teenagers fled.
The Metrolink driver also jumped out to try and help.
Police said the driver and passengers’ brave actions saved the man’s life.
Paramedics attended and rushed the victim to hospital. He has been left traumatised by the attack.

tram8JPG.jpg
Police said the three teenagers were all male, Asian and of slim build. They were wearing bubble jackets and trainers.
Detective Sergeant John Coleman said the attack, which lasted for four minutes, was the worst he had ever seen.
He said the victim had been out with his partner and friends in town and had gone home as he had work the next day.
Moments before the attack he had messaged his partner to say he had arrived at Freehold.

Detective Sergeant John Coleman
DS Coleman said: “Not only did these men target an innocent man for no apparent reason, they subjected him to a sustained and brutal attack and the footage is absolutely shocking.
“How anyone could kick a defenceless man in the head as he lay unconscious is almost unbelievable, but for them to return on three separate occasions to continue their assault and then leave him bleeding on the platform is beyond comprehension.
“The fact the victim not only survived, but is now on the road to recovery, is pretty incredible.

The Freehold stop in Chadderton, Oldham
“We know a tram stopped on the opposite side of the tracks at the time of the attack and I would urge anyone who has any video footage to please send it in to us as a matter of urgency. It could be vital to finding the people responsible.
“Alternatively, anyone who thinks they know who did this, or has any information, please get in touch. This could have been your father, son or brother and we need to find these men immediately.”
Transport for Greater Manchester’s head of Metrolink, Danny Vaughan, said: “This was a sickening and sustained attack that has left a man seriously injured.
“We know there’s been a spike in the number of incidents of crime and antisocial behaviour in the Oldham area recently.

CCR_MEN_140317vaughan_01.jpg
Danny Vaughan
“It is something we are working with partners to try and tackle but the extent of this assault and level of force used was indiscriminate and wanton.
“Working under the TravelSafe Partnership the number of patrols in the area has been increased significantly and CCTV of the incident has been handed over to police to assist their investigation. I’d encourage anyone with information about this incident or those responsible to come forward.”
A witness to attack has told the Manchester Evening News: “The victim did not seem to be moving and many passengers presumed he was dead.
“The tram driver had already left the platform before stopping the tram again to shout at the offenders, however they ignored this and continued to viciously assault the victim.
“Many of the passengers screamed from the tram for the thugs to stop, however they continued.
“This attack lasted approximately five minutes, all whilst the victim lay on the floor motionless.
“It was only when one of the passengers pulled the emergency door release lever on the tram that people were able to leave the tram to attend to the victim, it was at this time the tram driver closed the doors of the tram and left the Freehold tram stop.”

The black Tudors of England: African porter who whipped a white servant is among 350 stories revealing how early immigrants were treated as equals in the Elizabethan era

  • Case of Edward Swarthye saw him whip fellow white slave on orders of employer
  • He appeared at court to confirm that he whipped John Guy on employer's orders
  • His story suggests that early black immigrants were treated as equals by Tudors
  • Jaques Francis's tale saw him help salvage the wrecked Mary Rose warship
  • His employer went on trial and Francis was invited to give evidence in a court
  • This came despite other witnesses claiming he could not because he was a slave

The case of a black servant whipping a white one forms part of a growing body of evidence that Africans were treated equally in Tudor England.
Edward Swarthye's dealings with the Elizabethan court is one of 350 examples of black people whose stories have been compiled in the book, Black Tudors.
The book is the first detailed study of early black immigrants and explores Swarthye's coming to England on a ship under the command of Sir Francis Drake
According to Miranda Kaufmann, senior research fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London, Swarthye had a higher rank than that of fellow servant, John Guy, who would go onto become mayor of Bristol and a colonial governor of Newfoundland.
'The whipping is a shock today because when we think of whipping we usually think of a white man whipping a black man,' Dr Kaufmann told the Oxford Literary Festival.
'It utterly inverts everything we thought we knew about the Tudors.'
Black Tudors explores how Swarthye became a porter of Edward Wynter, a knight who joined Drake on a voyage to the Caribbean.

NWN: Where do they get this rubbish from ? Or, why do they deliberately tell lies ?

There is also a huge error here too. Queen Elizabeth I  actually made a law to expel " ye blackamoores" . That law is still extant . So in actual fact all those whom the corrupt polticians have allowed onto these shores are here illegally.

"In 1601, among the Cecil papers still held at Hatfield House, we hear this: "The queen is discontented at the great numbers of 'negars and blackamoores' which are crept into the realm since the troubles between her Highness and the King of Spain, and are fostered here to the annoyance of her own people."

Tis a shame we haven't got an absolute monarch of the calibre of 'Good Queene Bess' on the throne, as no doubt she would have sorted all the nations major problems out . Hangings galore would have occurred.

Ben lost his legs for his country, how could they take away his wheelchair?: The most seriously injured British soldier sues MoD after pay cut and lack of care

  • Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson, 33, lost both of his legs while in Afghanistan
  • Former paratrooper wasn't expected to survive explosion in Helmand Province
  • Now he is suing the MoD for not provided care for him and for cutting his wages

The most seriously wounded British soldier from the war in Afghanistan is to sue the Army after claiming that defence chiefs cut his pay, put vital medical treatment in jeopardy – and failed to provide him with wheelchairs.
Lance Bombardier Ben Parkinson, 33, who suffered devastating injuries when he was blown up by the Taliban, is to bring the legal action after what his family last night described as years of broken promises and ‘deception’ by top brass over his care.
The former paratrooper was not expected to survive after losing both legs and suffering brain damage when his Land Rover hit an anti-tank mine in Helmand Province in 2006. His recovery, which has included learning to walk and talk again, has astounded doctors.

He was allowed to stay in uniform and has been held up as an example of the Army’s commitment to wounded troops.
But today The Mail on Sunday can reveal the shocking story of Ben’s struggle for basic equipment and specialist care. Now, his furious family is suing the Ministry of Defence for Breach of Statutory Care.
As a serving soldier, Ben is not allowed to talk to the media. Speaking on his behalf, his mother Diane Dernie, 60, said: ‘Under an agreement reached with us and the NHS in 2016, the MoD is supposed to provide Ben’s wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs and specialist medical services not available to us locally on the NHS.
‘We have learned, contrary to what the Army has told us, that charities have provided two of Ben’s wheelchairs from funds donated by the public. This was a deception on their part.

‘We cannot suffer in silence any longer. We need a long-term care plan in place for Ben now.’
Under a 2007 agreement, Ben and other severely wounded soldiers were permitted to stay in the Army. This meant that Ben continued to be paid. However, top brass have gradually cut his wages. His mother said he was earning several hundred pounds a month less than when he was blown up in 2006. This was not denied last night by the MoD.
Mrs Dernie said: ‘Issues like his pay being reduced, the Army’s failure to sign up to an agreement for Ben’s lifelong care needs and his wheelchairs being paid for by military charities, has been very distressing.’
She said that in 2013 one of Ben’s chairs, which last three years, had been provided by Help For Heroes. ‘Senior officers suggested to us that they’d provided the chair. How could the Army palm off the responsibility for providing it on to a charity? That’s not right. Then in 2016 they admitted there was no budget for wheelchairs. Ben waited 15 months for a new one which, as I understand, also came from a charity.’
Last night, the MoD did not dispute Mrs Dernie’s account.

Help for Heroes issued a statement saying it was ‘proud to be supporting Ben Parkinson and his family’. Mrs Dernie said NHS England had fulfilled its obligations and would not be included in any legal action.
Last night, former head of the Army Lord Dannatt, who initially arranged for Ben to stay in the Army after he was blown up, expressed his sadness over the dispute. He said: ‘While mistakes have been made, a lot of people in the Army have worked very hard on Ben’s behalf. I hope these issues can be settled without the need for a court case.’
An MoD spokesperson said: ‘We can assure Lance Bombardier Parkinson and his family that we are working hard to establish his new care package as quickly as we can.’
Yogi Amin from lawyers Irwin Mitchell said: ‘Mr Parkinson’s position is that the MoD breached its statutory responsibility to provide him with the care he requires.’

Valour of the gentle giant blown up by the Taliban

Lance Bombardier Parkinson of the 7th Parachute Regiment, Royal Horse Artillery paid a terrible price for serving his country.
He lost both his legs and sustained grievous damage to his spine, skull and pelvis when blown up by the Taliban in 2006.
His lungs and spleen were punctured, all his ribs were cracked and he suffered serious brain damage.
Ben was flown back to the UK where he was expected to die. Incredibly, he clung to life.
He was initially awarded just £152,000 by the MoD, under its statutory compensation scheme for service personnel injured in combat.
After a campaign, that was increased to £570,000, which his family used to buy a bungalow for him and fit it out with specialist equipment.

NWN: And so it goes on. Cutting back on wounded British warriors to spend it on guess where ? More stupid wars that have nothing to do with us, or on the deluge from the four corners of the globe that is filling the nation up rapidly.

This is how Maguire describes his current job in Belfast working for Sinn Fein/IRA again.

This is one of those who were sentenced to 79 years in prison for the murder of the two Army corporals 30 years ago. He was released many years ago under the corrupt Good Friday Agreement that was promoted by Tony Blair and Mo Mowlem.

Promoted by Green Thumb TWENTY-FIVE years after RUC officers ignored orders in an attempt to rescue two abducted Army corporals, a former constable has spoken for the first time of his role in the incident. The officer – then a member of the mobile support unit in west Belfast – was on duty at Woodbourne RUC Station while the funeral of IRA man Kevin Brady was taking place in nearby Andersonstown. Brady had been shot and killed by Michael Stone at an IRA funeral in Milltown cemetery three days earlier. Speaking candidly to the News Letter, the ex-RUC constable revealed how he listened in horror as radio transmissions reported the mourners’ abduction of two men from their car close to Casement Park GAA ground. As the drama unfolded in a running commentary from an Army helicopter over the scene, the Woodbourne-based officers immediately prepared to crew their vehicles. ADVERTISING Risking dismissal for disobeying direct orders, the rebellious officers raced along the Andersonstown Road in two Land Rovers, along with a Land Rover of military escort. The former member of the specialist mobile support unit — known as The Blues — said the “duty to protect life” came before their orders as tensions reached boiling point at Woodbourne. On the way to Casement Park, they encountered a black taxi making off from the scene and arrested two men later convicted of the soldiers’ murders. The ex-RUC constable (pictured above kneeling over one of those arrested) said: “Coming down in the truck (Land Rover), I looked out the side porthole and said ‘stop the truck, there’s [Alex] Murphy in the back of a black taxi.’ “We pulled it over, and I mean literally banged it over to the side of the road. The black taxi itself was the one that had the corporals in it and was taken away by Murphy and [Harry] Maguire.” Harry Maguire and Alex Murphy were jailed for life for the murder of the two corporals. They were released under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement in 1998. The former officer, who does not wished to be named, said he felt angry, even now, as he recalled how the dramatic police response began with the overheard radio transmissions. “We had been listening on the radio [at Woodbourne] and could hear them saying ‘they’ve taken them out of the car, and now they’re stripping them, and they’re now going into Casement Park’. “The next thing we heard was that they’d been thrown over the wall and it was at that point we turned round to our sergeant but he said: ‘Guys, I can’t go anywhere yet.’” As the constables from The Blues ignored orders and raced out to their Land Rovers, they encountered a more senior officer on the stairs of the station who ordered them back, according to the constable. “He said to us: ‘You’re going nowhere.’ Those were his exact words.” The initially hesitant sergeant was to follow his men out of the station when he realised they weren’t for turning back. Commenting on the encounter with the black taxi, the constable said: “It was ourselves who got them at the time otherwise they were gone. We then drove that taxi back to Springfield Parade for SOCO (Scene of Crime Officer).” The former officer, who gave evidence at the trial of Murphy and Maguire, said he faced no penalty for his disobedience but felt the truth of what he called “police indecision” on the day of the murders was suppressed. “There are things about what happened that absolutely haunt me to this day. But at the time we (The Blues) got all the images from the heli-teli and literally hunted them down. We ended up identifying about 30 of those involved in the murders over the period of about a month. That gave us some satisfaction at least,” he said. “We are still angry about what happened. There’s so much guilt on our minds too. If we had gone when we wanted to go at first ... we would have been there in minutes. We probably wasted about eight or nine minutes in all waiting on permission.” Dramatic images of The Blues officers arresting Murphy and Maguire on the Andersonstown Road were captured by a photographer from the Today newspaper and appeared in the national press the following day.

Analyst Sheds Some Light on Mysterious Russian Ex-Spy Poisoning Story

The former spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia remain in critical, but stable condition after having been exposed to an unnamed ‘nerve agent’. Tom Secker is a Sputnik contributor and author of the SpyCulture website - he explains his take on the situation.
Sputnik: If this incident were at the hands of the Russians — why now, with the upcoming elections and the world cup on the way? Where is the logic there?
Tom Secker: There doesn't seem to be much logic there. We never really know what the intelligence services are getting up to. So it's certainly not something we can rule out. The only logic I can see is that this would have been some kind of revenge move, or potentially a warning to other people who might do the same thing, you know, cross over to the other side — sell out their colleagues, coworkers, and the other people that they might know. Even with that scenario, you'd have to wonder, why now?
Sputnik: It would be very easy to make a death ‘untraceable’ — in fact the CIA assassination manual explains exactly how to make a homicide look like suicide. Why would that not have been the case here?
Tom Secker: I guess the question is what is the primary motive here? If the primary motive is simply to kill the guy then no, you wouldn't do it this way. You'd kill him any way you like, and then make sure no one ever found the body. If the point was to send a message, again, you wouldn't necessarily do it in this way. You would make it appear as though it was an accident, suicide or accidental overdose or something like that. The message would still be sent, because the people watching would still understand what had happened in reality, but it would make it so that it could never be chased back to you in a legal sense.
This sounds like something that was a rush job, it sounds like something that was carried out possibly on the fly, with fear of being caught. And that's why it was at least somewhat botched.
Sputnik: How often do these sorts of cover-up homicides occur?
Tom Secker: If you think of cover-ups in a broader sense, there are a lot of examples. Back in 2010, a bunch of Israeli Government Agents, (we assume Mossad), went to Dubai and killed that senior Hamas figure in a Dubai hotel. They did the whole thing travelling on forged British passports and as far as we know, the British Government hasn't done anything about this. Which begs the question, how many secret agents are there? Running around with fake British passports, and our government is just letting this happen. So in that sense, while it seems that Israel never really denied that they carried out this assassination, the British Government, to some extent participated in a cover-up of exactly how that was done- by not pursuing this passport issue. So honestly, cover-ups are kind of standard.
Sputnik: The blame has quickly jumped to Russia — despite Amber Rudd asking people not to jump to conclusions before the evidence is out- what’s happened there?
Tom Secker: Well on the one hand you have the Home Secretary saying that in public, but you also seem to have quite a number of officials anonymously briefing the media — saying that they think it was Russia, and they keep being quoted. So there is clearly the official stance, which is 'Oh no, we're not making any assumptions until we have the evidence in hand', and then there is the quiet, unofficial stance of 'Yes this was Russia, put out the story that it was Russia'.
Sputnik: And is there any evidence to suggest that Russia did it?
Tom Secker: Why use such an exotic poison — unless the aim is to try and remind everyone of the Litvinenko murder. Which obviously, most people believe was carried out by the Russian State. That is the obvious connection that everyone is making. So why would Russia do it like that? Why would they do something that would instantly bring to mind this previous murder that had been pinned on them? The only reason to use such an exotic poison would be to remind everyone of that, and therefore plant the seed of 'oh this is the Russian State killing one of their own'. Whereas, if you look at this guy’s biography, at least what we know of it, there are all sorts of people who'd have a motive for killing him. He betrayed quite a lot of people, and not just in terms of governments, not just in terms of government agents or intelligence agencies, but potentially private criminal organizations. They too could have a motive for trying to pin the whole thing on Russia.
Let's not forget- and this is a detail I haven’t yet seen anywhere, at least in the mainstream media coverage — this guy was found only a few miles from Porton Down. That is the British ministry of Defenses lab for developing exotic weaponry — bio and chemical weapons. Why has no one drawn attention to this? I mean literally, we are talking eight to ten miles down the road. That's a fact you would have thought was worth mentioning at the very least. Even if it's some crack-pot rogue scientist from that lab, who smuggled something out, or sold it to someone, who then carried out the hit. Even if it would be a scenario like that, it's worth exploring. It's certainly a lot more worth exploring than waving a big flag saying 'Russia did it.'

Councils told to build more houses  - for whom ?

Right boys and girls , can we have a quiz here to suggest who the lucky recipients might be for this radical policy now being urgently pushed apparently by the government ?

The favourites being ;

1)  Rich people

2)  Our newcomers to the UK

There are lots of 'brown field' sites that are being woefully neglected all across the UK.

Many former military barracks are being sold off to developers . Why cannot they be used instead to house some of the former service people such as former soldiers, who are now having to live on the streets ?

In the North West as an example; with the falling house prices, why is that not harnessed to help ?

Many owners of cheaper terraced houses can't sell them as there are no buyers. These houses can go for far less than £100,000. But because they cannot sell them, they are often then put up for rent. Sometimes then attracting the 'scum of the earth', put in there by local councils or charities. Thus bringing the already low house prices down even further.

But yet the government wants to build 1,000's of new houses.

Many areas are already under strain due to new house builds. But there are either no social facilities for them or they make a further burden on already stretched social services such as schools, hospitals and our failing road networks.

Madness !

Green belt is already being built on.

We nationalists will provide a truly radical policy . Interest free loans to British families who can trace their ancestry here before the 1930's.

See such as here for what the papers are saying about this policy for house building ;

R.A.P. - Rochdale Alternative Press  - a communist front !

In recent years, a number of people have availed themselves of the now defunct Rochdale Alternative press (RAP) files copies stored in the Rochdale reference library. RAP was sold by newsagents in Rochdale in the 1970's and 1980's in particular. Of late, people like the former MP for Rochdale Simon Danczuk drew heavily on copies of RAP for his book, that 'revealed' the paedophile sexual antics of another former MP for Rochdale; Sir Cyril Smith.

We here agree at NWN with what RAP published back then in the 1970's about Cyril Smith MP.

But to make 'saints' of this communist rag, which is what RAP was. Is just not on.

It's owners were David Bartlett and John Walker  - both were then members of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB).

They used RAP as a centralised focus for various extreme left wing groups especially the CPGB but also such as the Socialist Workers party (SWP) and the International Marxist Group (IMG). Both then were two thug Trotskyist groups that used to cause riots in the UK. They also supported the Anti-Nazi League (ANAL), another communist front group then run 'behind the scenes' by their ((( SWP steering committee))) . Check them out !

Even worse was their support for the IRA !

Above, we have an old poster that RAP published, and  which was 'fly postered' all around Manchester and other North West towns in the early 1980's. Their address is clearly shown on there, and which was/is  the law .

Mayhem was breaking out in Northern Ireland during the IRA hunger strike. RAP were trying to 'fan the flames' here on the mainland.

RAP actually 'shot themselves in the foot' in openly supporting the IRA. Rochdale National Front quickly got copies of this IRA poster, and copied it to leaflets that were delivered to all the newsagents in Rochdale. Many of them then refused to sell RAP again. Rochdale NF then used to regularly attract over 100 at branch meetings. It's largest gathering was over 300 in 1981.

The last we heard of David Bartlett is, he is living the 'capitalist' dream of a middle class retirement after having posh jobs at places like the running of Rochdale college/Hopwood Hall college, Rochdale. He now lives down in the posh south of England.

British Army being forced  into marxist 'political correctness' .
It would be funny if it wasn't true !
