40 years ago - 13th August 1977 - Lewisham National Front march..............the day the 'balloon went up'.
Lewisham 1977 will go down in history just like Cable street 1936. St. Georges day 1977 NF march at Wood Green North London was rough enough, but this day was something else.In all these examples communist mobs were mobilised to commit violence and were financed by shady criminal groups who operate within the UK and with seeming impunity. After Lewisham, the Metropolitan Police had a whole van load of evidence for prosecution against the organisers of violence that ensued on that August day in 1977. The then Labour party Attorney General and zionist jew Sam Silkin, rejected the Police's endeavours to prosecute the criminals who organised and paid for the gangs and who caused all the violence. The 'on the street' organisation was carried out by leading members of the Socialist Workers party (SWP) almost all of them were jewish.
Behind the scenes and who had mobilised and financed the left wing mob were the British Board of Jewish Deputies. Proof of this included the sight of Martin Savitt leading the ALCARAF march which led thousands of left wingers to the meeting point of the National Front march - in order "to greet the NF marchers" they said. We all know what happened there. The red gangsters actuall started attacking the Police over TWO hours before the first NF member had arrived for their march. The Board of Deputies does its work through a number of committees including the Jewish Defence and Group Relations Committee. The chairman of this is Martin Savitt who is again a member of the Race Relations Working Party and another vice president of Ajex. The executive director of the so-called "Defence" Committee is Dr. Jacob Gewirtz.
Martin Savitt is seen second from the right in the below video after the red Bishop Mervyn Stockwood, and a woman. Savitt is tiny and wearing a beige raincoat and a tie with sunglasses. He is 2 seconds into the video.
It is due to the zionist jewish centrality of organisation of this violent mob, that Londons Metropolitan Police intended to prosecute. The then Labour Attorney General Sam Silkin rejected their intentions out of hand.
Due to the passage of time, the numbers of nationalists who attended the Lewisham NF march are declining. Here in the North West, this current writer was among a group who went down to London that day for the march. We were 'ambushed' by armed communists which included Searchlights Steve Tilzey on Aytoun street in Manchester. Or rather the coach was ambushed and smashed up, when only a few where there which is their 'modus operandi' and they then spin it as a great victory. Mike Luft was another who attacked the NF coach and he is another jewish zionist communist who works for Searchlight.
Tilzey writes a load of bullshit nonsense in his book 'No Retreat' . For example, Tilzey wrote how he was in the forefront of the attacks on the 'nazis' during the Lewisham march and came face to face with the Manchester National Fronts banner and members .He argued with a couple of them he writes - lying. This writer arrived for that coach at Aytoun street just after the windows were smashed and smoke bombs had been thrown. We had to hire a furniture removals van from Salford Van Hire to take us all down to London. We never actually got onto the march, though we were in Lewisham.
Both the Manchester NF banner and the NF Drum Corps and members were with us - and not on the march. We did have one very sticky moment when the mob spotted our Manchester van, and we did a very hasty 3 point turn on Lewisham High street with the mob pursuing. Well done Neil.
A rather ridiculous but now funny idea, by the then Manchester NF Organiser Martin Goucher was, when we were near the NF march. That we were to "sneak onto the march" with our banners, and the drums. Thankfully saner heads ruled the day. To have been trying to sneak onto that march that day especially carrying a huge bass drum would have been suicide !
Dave Jones from Manchester was one of the saner heads that day. We had a few women with us that day too. Others included MB from Bolton.
A defining moment in history. Looking at Lewisham today, we wonder just how many of those communists that day who violently opposed us, now think they were right ?
