Afraz Ahmed charged with further offences as part of Operation Doublet -Rochdale

Afraz Ahmed (born 22/11/1982) of Oswald Street, Rochdale has been charged with further offences of three counts of rape and two counts of sexual activity with a child as part of Operation Doublet, the ongoing investigation to tackle child sexual exploitation in Rochdale.
These charges relate to offences committed against two victims who were aged between 13 and 14 at the time of the abuse.
He has also been charged with one count of rape and two counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and one count of conspiracy to commit rape against a further victim.

He is due to appear at Bury and Rochdale magistrates’ court tomorrow, Wednesday 11 March 2015.
The inquiry has been led by Greater Manchester Police’s Major Incident Team, assisted by the Public Protection Division and Rochdale division, and centres on sexual exploitation between 2003 and 2013 mainly in the Rochdale area.
