Rochdale girl shot in race attack

Police are appealing for information after a 17-year-old Rochdale girl was shot in the leg, with a pellet from an air rifle in a murderous race hate attack.

She was walking along Rochdale's Tweedale Street in Freehold last Friday (25th) evening when she saw a blue hatchback car driving along slowly.

The story appeared in last Wednesdays Rochdale Observer . The report further said that the victim was subjected to racial abuse by the driver, and then felt a sudden pain in her right calf.

The girl, who was not seriously injured, went to hospital to have the pellet removed.

Police are looking for an Asian man who was wearing a dark coloured top and an Asian passenger who was also in the car.

The girl was not seriously injured but Police are appealing for witnesses.
